Created for Maisonneuve's In Too Deep, an investigation into the contradictions of the adult-film industry and the representation of female sexuality, Porn explores the tension between intimacy, desire and perception.
The cover uses an extreme photographic close-up to transform the human body into an almost abstract landscape. Texture, colour and ambiguity replace explicit imagery, creating a provocative visual statement that invites curiosity while resisting the conventions of sensationalism.
Inside, the editorial treatment shifts from suggestion to reportage. Documentary photography and assertive typography give the story a distinct visual presence while preserving the immediacy and complexity of its subject.
Together, the cover and feature demonstrate an editorial approach in which conceptual imagery, photographic direction and design work to make challenging subject matter visually compelling without compromising its substance.
